Natalie and the Downside-Up Birthday

Natalie has a birthday party on the same day as the meanest girl in kindergarten. Both girls want everyone to come to their party. Do you think it's more important that everyone comes or your true friends?

Small Steps: The Year I Got Polio

My teacher at school started reading Small Steps: The Year I Got Polio but only got to chapter 3. I asked my mom if she could order it and she did. My mom ordered it and I read the whole thing. In this book, 12 year old Peg gets polio during the school year. She got 3 kinds of polio and was paralyzed from the neck down. It was hard for her to breathe. She had a lung problem and it was very hard to swallow. Find out how a milkshake saved her life and how she made true friends at Sheltering Arms!

Guest Post: The Very Special Valentine

The very special bunny needed to give a valentine or a thing for the other bunny, so they could be friends on valentine's day. He kept finding stuff that belongs to other people. He didn't find anything so he didn't get her anything. They begin to be friends. I enjoyed this book and I think you will too.

Winnie the Horse Gentler, book 1

Yesterday I read the first Winnie the Horse Gentler book. It's about a girl named Winnie that loves horses. Her sister's name is Lizzy and she loves bugs, but she's afraid of horses. Their mother died 2 years ago and they have to live with their father. They've moved 5 times this year and Lizzy can't remember where she finished 4th grade. Winnie worked hard to train the horse for a contest to decide who keeps it. Enjoy!
